Sustainability

Sustainability is at the core of Sisu & Co. and it is my belief that every person, business owner, and (especially) corporation need to do everything in their power to reduce their footprint, be thoughtful in their consumption, and lean in to altruism.

As a one-woman-show, I work my hardest to be thoughtful around packaging materials, limit waste in my process as much as possible, and give back monetarily each month. I do what I can to make my own supply chain as sustainable as possible, and I simply ask that you reuse and/or recycle the packaging once it has made its way to your home - we are in this together!

So, what do I do with this?
Below is a list of the multitude of packaging materials that you may find in your order depending on the products purchased. If you have any questions, please reach out to me at sisuandco@outlook.com.

Recycling Resources

- Items listed as "curbside recyclable" should be able to be added to the average municipal recycling program, but it is always a good idea to check with your local municipality to ensure this is true for your specific area

- Items listed as "industrial compostable" can ONLY be added to a bin that goes to an industrial composting facility. You should not add any bio-plastics or other materials that are listed as "industrial compostable" to a home composter or yard waste bin, as these items will not break down and will pollute the process.

- Not sure what your local municipality accepts and which programs they support? Check out earth911.com! You can also utilize this site to look up hundreds of items and products and learn where you can dispose of and recycle them local to you.
